HP Modular Line (ML) servers are free-standing units that are upright and contain all of the traditional server component as well as benefitting from technology advances such as HP Insight Manager, Integrated Lights-Out, SmartStart, and ProLiant Essentials.  Warranty is also an important factor to consider; HP's pre-failure warranty, standard on all HP ProLiant 300 servers and above, extends HP's standard one or three-year warranty to cover critical components like memory before they actually fail.
